Is it okay to go without if you take good care of your legs(shaving, exercise)? I see darker hose worn in fashion mags for the winter months but don’t really see them in mags for spring and summer. The models may wear opaque ones though. Please give your thoughts. Thanks so much!

Anyone can answer but I really would like to hear from personal trainers or anyone who has experienced this type of situation before.
I was talking to a woman who said that she can achieve all her weight loss and fitness goals all on her own because she read some books telling her how to do it.
She basically told me that all my schooling and degrees are worthless because she can get the same advice I could give her online and concluded that all trainers are overpaid and unnecessary because all you have to do is to diet and exercise and you can look and feel great.
This would not be the first person I have heard this crap from, but why do we even bother to get certified through schooling? Why go to college and get these degrees if we are just going to be disrespected and discarded for a fricken book?
Geez and guess what? the books are written by certified trainers in most cases.
I am very disgruntled right now.
Trainers how do you deal with this?

OK I have a few questions about exercising, I’m not trying to lose weight, I am slender already & have been going to the gym for a while but I’ve kind of lost track of my old routine.
Is it better to work diff. muscle groups once a week (arms & back one day legs the next or whatever)?
Or is it better to do a little of each every day or any other combo?
When you go to a full body workout class (I go to bodypump two times a week and pilates once) what should you count that as and how do you work this into your routine, this is what is throwing me off.
Should you work abs daily, this is what i have always heard?
AND one more, haha, how much cardio should you do and how many times a week? i love running so i love doing cardio.
THANKS!!

I have my heart set on joining the military and I’m putting together all the benefits of joining, like discipline, defending our Country, and a stable life and career for my family and myself. Another important benefit for me would be the fitness of basic training. It’s something I hadn’t thought of until now and I’m curious. How good of shape do you get in during Basic alone? Did you find that you lost weight, gained muscle, etc?
I’m currently a little chubby, lol ( I have children). I’m 130 lbs, but I tone quickly. I’ve also started running each morning for 45 minutes, then work on abs and my arms and back for an additional 45 minutes. As an example of how easy I tone and lose weight, I’ve been doing this for 3 weeks and have lost 17 lbs already. I also eat very healthy and don’t eat candy, cake, or other junk foods.
My concern is I’ve seen women leave skinny, and come back huge. The women I’m talking about had joined Reserves and didn’t really follow up with any exercise since returning. this would not be the case with me.
So what are your experiences and do you think it would be an added benefit as well for me?
Thanks in advance for reading and for your answers!

Okay so the general consensus I am getting is that women should do kegel exercises during and after pregnancy to prevent urinary incontinence and help with strength to push during labor. It’s not that I don’t want to do them, it’s that I can’t figure out how! I have read every pamphlet, book, etc. and talked to my doctor about it, but I just don’t think I’m doing it right! I can’t feel those muscles contracting. My question is, what muscles should I feel contracting when I do kegels? Any other muscles (abdominal, leg, butt, etc.?) I’m just trying to get a feel for what I should be looking for to know if I’m doing it right. thanks!!

Anyways, my legs are feeling way too tire to even walk. I have to wash dishes and all that but I can’t even walk right. This never happened before. My kidney always hurt before my period but now, it’s legs and kidney at the same time.
