i want to lose 20 lbs… that really difficult 20lbs to lose when you’re already generally in good shape but its like impossible to get toned and perfect….. ahhh!!!
been fighting this goddamned battle for YEARS.. grr.. im only 21 years old so it seriously shouldnt be that hard….
Counted calories, between 1300-1600 a day. Did piyo (pilates-yoga combo) 3 days a week and weight training 2 days a week with light weights. Made sure that my meals were balanced and that I had a healthy snack every 3 hours (usually whole wheat crackers and veggies/fruit with a cheese stick).
I have lost a little more than 15 lbs and am a 19 year old college student. I am very strict with myself about working out. I was doing workout classes at the gym, which was cardio for about an hour, and then I’d usually still walk or do abs after if I felt that I still was up for more of a workout. I also walked a lot around campus instead of ride the bus.
Now that it’s summer and I’m not at school I run about 5 days a week at least 1 1/2 miles, then add interval running or bike riding for about 20 min and usually finish with a cool down walk. I try to work in a quick set of weights like twice a week, but I’m not as good about getting it in always.
I still indulge in sweets because I have a huge sweet tooth, but when I do I try to make sure that it fits into the number of calories I am allowing myself that day. Usually I shoot for around 1800 since I burn off a lot from exercise as well. When I do go out to eat, I only allow the healthy options on the menu or search up calories at the specific resturant beforehand so I know what I can allow for myself.
When I dropped weight, I lost about 50 lbs. I did 2 things. Completely quit eating sugar or anything that contained sugar/Corn Syrup. I also started walking 2 times a day, morning and nights at 30 minutes a piece.
I find I often eat when bored so any time I wanted to eat but not truly hungry, I went for a walk. I dropped the 50lbs in about 3 months with little other change to my diet.
Well I did the bad thing and skipped meals. I lost like 40lbs in a few months, but as soon as I started eating I gained it back. Now I’ve lost a little over ten and it’s mostly from exercising more. Your body eventually gets use to the exercise and you just have to change up your routine to lose more weight. Of course food too. i try and stay around 1550. Of course I go over sometimes and that’s why i haven’t lost 20 yet. Have you ever heard of sparkpeople. I love the the website and it’s good if you want to lose a few pounds or a hundred.
I have been doing the Eat to Live program since Jan and I lost 20 lbs in 4 weeks-http://www.fatfreevegan.com/etl.shtml
First of all, it is not possible to be “perfect”.
I lost 20 lbs back when I was in university. I was 18, and had been 160 lbs for most of my teen years. When I got to university, I just started walking everywhere. I had no choice – I lived on campus, but it was a big campus and it took at least 10-15 minutes to get anywhere. Add that all up, and I was probably walking at least 30-45 minutes every day. I also started eating better – our meal plan was one of the best in the country for variety – every cafetria had a salad and sandwich bar, vegetarian station, and other healthy options. It almost made it easy to be good!
But the walking was easily the best thing.
well i lost a lot of pounds by just eating salad
did u know that if u eat 1 chicken leg from KFC it takes u 5 miles to walk it off
Honestly, if you are already in shape you don’t have to loose weight, but here’s how I did. Well, I’m younger and still in high school so I had the option of joining sports teams. I signed up for cross country and we ran something around 10 miles a day. Those were hard days, though. Since I was so busy, I didn’t really have time to plan meals, and typically I would just have a lot of fruit and bread, because you need lots of carbs to run that much. Bassically what I’m saying is keep yourself busy-not overbooked- but try to join something, maybe like a group. happy to help and good luck!

Twice I had to lose a lot of weight.
Three years ago after having a baby. I didn’t really diet but I worked out like a maniac for a year. After six months of weight training 3 times a week and 1 hour of cardio 2 times a week I had lost 30 pounds and looked amazing.
Recently I had to lose about 15 pounds and being very slothful as far as excercise is concerned lately, I went on a cleanse and lost 13 pounds and I’m happy with that. I am now going to start my work out schedule and try to get back into shape again as losing weight doesn’t necessary make you have a good figure, being fit does.
You can check out the cleanse I was on at http://www.SlimAtLast.Ca I was very excited about it because it worked for me. The two day cleanse part where you drink a lot of juice was hard for me though. It worked and the rest of the plan I found easy but the detox days… I like to eat so I found it a little rough. I would do it again though the next time I want to lose weight. Also, it seems to be saying off.. A good thing as I really hate to diet.
