Recommended Calorie Intake For Woman Trying To Lose Weight?

…..Well I am trying to lose weight have recently started eating much healthier , and am just wondering what the recommended calorie intake for women is a day(I’ve heard no more then 1500 calories and am not sure if that is correct). I don’t know if this stuff matters but I’m 5′5, 139 lbs , I dance twice a week (for 3 hours) and exercise for 60 to 100 minutes on 3 other days (cardio then weight training or other various exercises)

    Hey if you have a itouch/iphone there is a app called lose it!
    Ive lost 3 pounds since using it. Doesnt sound like much but i only want to lose 5. Anyway you type in your weight, and your height and you say what your goal weight is, and you get to choose if you want to lose 1 pound a week 2 pounds a week or 1 1/2 pounds a week and it tells you how many calories you can consume.

    Take the weight you want to be at and add a zero to it.
