Have Any Women Tried Tried Weight Watchers, Or Is Anyone Currently Using The Points System?

I am just starting Weight Watchers point system today & my goal is to lose 60-70 lbs. I just wanted to get some different views as to how it worked for different people. Did you lose weight? Did the program seem difficult? Did you exercise, and how long do you think it’ll take me to lose 70 lbs? Thanks!!

I did weight watchers 2 years ago and lost 40 lbs. i have kept it off, but now i want to lose another 10 so i am back on it. The program was difficult at first because it was a whole lifestyle change for me. Two years later and it seems like nothing. The things weight watcher teaches you in comination with having yoru flex points creates a very healthy lifestyle.
I exercised 5 days a week, 40 min of cardio each time. I lost 40 lbs in 5months, so you could probably lose 70 lbs in about 10 months (more than 1-2lbs a week is unhealthy). E-mail me if you want any suggestions, ideas or reciepies that i’ve come up with since being on the program: rib_princess@hotmail.com (make the subject line clear so i know it’s not junk mail :)

I tried the Point System and although it’s reallly easy to follow, I was hungry much of the time. However, I know a lot of people who have had great success with it. Currently I am on the South Beach Diet and I am not hungry. I have better results not eating as many carbs.

weight watchers works great, but the only problem with it is, you have to be patient because it involves so much point counting and really watching everything you eat, even though you can still enjoy regular food. The other problem with weight watchers is that a lot of people tend to gain the weight right back after they stop the program. what i did, was cut down on carbs, by switching to whole grain products and low carb products. it was hard but its easy to find foods you like, like eating a hamburger without the bun or with just one side of the bun. also exercising is a big thing, just start walking everywhere it makes you less lazy and you enhance you endorphins (the things that make you happy). low carb and exercise is what i recommend, i lost 30 lbs in 2 months, little longer than i wanted, but it worked great. good luck and trust me you can do it!!
