What’s The Best Exercise For Women Trying To Lose Weight?

I am trying to lose weight and tone up, I do fine in the beginning when I first start working out, but I get bored and end up slacking off. I am in a wedding in August and need to get serious about it. Any suggestions for staying motivated and successfully losing the weight?

I would guess that the best thing to do is the following:
MOST important is to take up a plan of exercise that you enjoy and make it a habit. And make it something you are going to do for the long haul – not just until August. This means something that makes you sweat but doesn’t feel like you’re killing yourself. You should come away from working out feeling good not overworked. This way, you’ll do it forever and once it becomes a habit, it will be hard NOT to go and work out.
    1. Aerobic exercises of some type – I’d say around 30 minutes to the point where you’re working and sweating but not killing yourself. I’d start out with a few times a week – maybe twice. Then try to work up to 3 times then maybe 4. If you really enjoy it than you might try 5 days a week but I personally wouldn’t do more than that. Everybody’s different. I like to exersise no more than 3 times a week.
    2. Lift weights. Just for toning. Don’t kill yourself lifting high amounts of weight. Just do it for toning. If you tone up, you’ll burn more calories during your everyday activities including sleeping. I have found that I’ve gotten way more muscle tone in far less time by using FREE weights vs. machine type weights.
    3. Don’t try to lose weight for an event. Try to attain and maintain a realistic body look and feel for the rest of your life. And take it slowly. Don’t rush it.
    4. Don’t deprive yourself of ANY food. Slowly train yourself to eat what you want in moderation. This too can become a habit and a way of life that will be as much a part of you as is brushing your teeth. If you go to a birthday party, HAVE a small peice of cake. This alone won’t ruin your plans to lose pounds. It’s what you eat in an overall day which adds up to weeks and months that makes a person lose or gain pounds.
Good luck. Try to focus on the fun of the exercise and not dropping the pounds.

Walking at a brisk rate is the best way to lose weight and tone up. It exercises every muscle in the body and gives you those deadly heart-shaped calves that men find sexy.

find something you like. You will be more likely to stick with it. Switch it up too, like yoga a couple of days a week. Weight training a few times.Squeezing in a walk is always beneficial, especially because it only requires a good pair of shoes.

You should go to a gym and bring an MP3 player with pumping music to get you going before you know it you will be in your own little world while you burn fat.

Do aerobic exercises, switch it up every couple weeks. Maybe the cycle, then walk, then swim (if its not too cold).
For toning just lift maybe less than 10 lbs, you don’t want to get too bulky.
And of course eat right. Veggies, fruit, protein.. I’m sure you know what’s right to eat. You can do it!
    :-D
